Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person’s mood, cognitive function and physical health. The tiny molecules of the natural oils are capable of penetrating the depths of body tissues all the way to the cellular level. One drop of the proper oil can influence a body’s receptors to initiate a healing response. Over centuries of use aromatherapy has been shown to be effective for reduction of stress, inflammation and pain.  It is also helpful for balancing the immune system, the nervous system,  and the emotional system.  A trained aromatherapist can assess your needs, and deliver a program that is as individual as you are.

Some of the traditional aromatherapy opportunities that have been used, and are available through The Healing Heart Center include:

Raindrop Technique essential oils are dropped like “raindrops” along the spine.  This helps to relieve muscular tension and stress in the body as it also energizes, detoxifies and balances electrical frequency of the body.

Emotional Release Technique involves the step by step application of many oils for the purpose of unlocking emotional traumas that may have been stored in cellular memory for years.

Neuro-Auricular Technique applies oils directly to the spinal column and occipital ridge to help replace nerve functions from the brain to the spinal cord and all organs and tissues.  It helps alleviate back pain and sciatica as well.   The effectiveness of aromatherapy is yet to be scientifically proven, however some evidence exists that essential oils may have therapeutic potential.

AromaTouch® Technique uses 8 oils with a specific application series that have demonstrated systemic benefits and enhanced experiences of overall health and well-being.

Deep Blue Technique uses oils which have proven effective in assisting with the reduction of inflammation, pain, and overall body soreness.
