Counseling Services for Children and Adolescents

(under supervision with Candice Kundert for licensure for L.C.P.C.)

Katrina graduated from WIU with a Masters of Science in Education with a focus in counseling and play therapy.  She is now working under the Director of the Healing Heart Center Inc., Candice Kundert for her licensure in L.C.P.C.  She works with both children and adolescents.

The Alderian Play Therapy approach allows children who frequently have difficulty talking about what is bothering them, to express their thoughts and feelings through play.  Therapeutic tools such as expressive toys, puppets and art materials act as a form of natural communication.  During the session, the counselor can use the play to help them explore and implement alternative behaviors and attitudes.  Advanced techniques are used with older populations.

Dr. Denain is a Graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic.  She is originally from France  and moved to Davenport to study chiropractic.  Dr. Denain has received advanced training in nutrition therapy, is certified in pediatric chiropractic and also in the breech-turning technique known as the Webster technique.  She is a fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  In addition, Dr. Denain offers nutrition therapy under the Standard Process line and Essential Oil Therapy using Young Living Therapeutic grade Essential Oils.

DNFT, which means Directional Non-Force Treatment, is different from most traditional techniques.  There are very few chiropractors in the Quad Cities who practice this technique.  With DNFT, there are no hard pushes, twists, cracks, or snaps- just gentle corrections that most patients find very effective.

Because of her training and her experience; Dr. Denain has been helping patients of all ages experience the benefits of DNFT chiropractic care.

If you enjoy the benefits of chiropractic care; but don’t like the forceful pushes, then DNFT chiropractic is a great alternative.  Call Dr. Denain for a free consultation.
